Art in the Park got back to nature as we used found materials and things we had brought along to make colourful and creative responses to the things around us.
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the bird masks that we made. These were simply pieces of card cut to the correct shape, folded round the front of the face and attached with another band of card around the back of the head. We mostly attempted to design our masks based on the birds spotted in the local area, although the shrike (and the salmon!) are rarely sighted in the wild around Blake Street!
Other activities included created a guided trail through the woods, making a dinosaur from found objects and art on slates and other pieces of stone we found.
The weather held out for us and a good time was had by all!
