Another wet and windy event was attended by a steady trickle of people throughout the afternoon. Having had to cancel the event in March due to snow, it was great to wake up and see the sun shining and the blue sky. The weather forecast said snow and hail, but hey, they are usually wrong aren't they?
The damp weather came and even this couldn't dampen the spirits of the hardy bunch of volunteers and participants who braved it onto the Ponder'. The activities at this event were arranged into four themed areas along the themes of the sense, so in the 'taste and smell' zone there was fruit and vegetables with exciting tastes and smells to try, along with activities using the fruit to print and paint with.
In the 'touch' zone amongst the trees some wonderful woodland boggarts were made of clay and stuck to the trees (maybe you want to go and see if they're still there?)
The 'sight' zone held our activities of painting, chalking and circus skills, with the added emphasis on using the sense of sight for inspiration The 'sound' zone had all sorts of wonderful noise making equipment such as tambourines, penny whistles and drums, so a loud and lively place it was to be!
