I don't suppose I should find it all that surprising that it was drizzling in the middle of February, but somehow it still seems like all the Art in the Park events should be met with bright sunshine...
Well, the day brightenned up and the 60 or so people who made the effort to brave the drizzle were certainly not disappointed with the activities on offer. One of the largest turnouts of volunteers on record meant that we could do painting, juggling, diabolo, poi and some trully epic chalking outside (I reckon the chalk looks even better when the ground is a bit damp...) then inside we had foil sculptues, bunting making and story telling going on inside the bungalow.
The foil dancers were based on a giant oil painting by local artist Adam, that he'd brought along to give us inspiration, and inspire us it did! Not only did we make dancers, but there were also castles, crabs and monsters in full effect.
So, next time the weather's looking a bit suspect, get your wellies on and come down to Art in the Park- the event the weather can't spoil!
