The Photography Special, Part 2, Edward Street Flats, January 2006
Having developed 10 films worth of pictures we had taken at Part One we had a few more engaging activities as well as some more Polaroid picture taking. We set about making a diorama; this is a long piece of work on card displayed, when finished, as a circular standing model.
We collaged the photographs onto this long piece of card to look like Edward Street Flats when finished; we had areas designated for the play area, the stairwells, the buildings and even a wonderful set of colourful towels hanging out to dry that had been at the last event. The Polaroid taking focused on a creation of storyboards made by the children with 3 to 4 pictures taken. These works were very well done and will be proudly shown in our May exhibition at the Healthy Living Centre, Upperthorpe.
