Ruskin Park Fun Day July 15th 2006
An excellent sunny day in the park. We set up a gazebo and working with our artist facilitator (Karen) we made loads of masks and other arty stuff with about a hundred children and adults. Using the theme of animals we went abstract and put sparkly bits, shiny bits and multi-coloured additions to the basic mask shapes. At the end of the event we had a masked parade through the rest of the park which concluded with a circle of 'animals' using some of the musical instruments created at last event.
The rest of the fun-day was also a huge success with live bands, lots of cake and bouncy castles. If you missed it, you missed out!
