Photography Special, Edward Street Flats, November 2005
After a fantastic photography workshop by Kyna Gourley we (the volunteers) were introduced to the exciting medium of photography. We learnt skills in the composition and consideration that goes into picture taking. Armed with this knowledge we held the first of a two part special with the residents of Edward Street Flats.
The day was filled with much enthusiasm from all those involved, particularly the children that got to take their first ever Polaroid picture. We focused on our environment. Colours, architecture, lighting and patterns we found were captured on film to share how we saw our surroundings and what it meant to us.
