October 17th Philadelphia
THis art in the park had the added attraction of leaving a permanent mark in the park, rather than taking all our art away with us or leaving it to fade back into the landscape. we created a wall of smiling football fans at one end of the football pitch in the 'multi-use-games-area' in Philadelphia park.
The cage in Philadelphia park was given a swift blue undercoat then the area for the crowd scene was marked in. With protective shirts being worn the happy painters set about transforming a rather drab and scrappy looking goal area into a vibrant multi-coloured range of faces wearing hats scarves, coats and other things on their faces.
As usual we also had painting at easels and chalking on the ground, as well as free refreshments- most welcome on the cold autumnal day!
